Impact
Here, everyone is family
Highland Ridge Decor began as a Father-Daughter side-hustle that grew into so much more. Steve and Stephanie have made metal art together since 2016 at his shop on Highland Ridge Road. Now that brand has grown to include tea towels and candles, all made with the same love and intentionality.
After seeing the impact this work had on their lives, they took it a step further. They became a non-profit in 2023 and now employ women transitioning through their rural Tennessee domestic abuse women's shelter to create life-transforming work.
A hand up
A lot of folks just need a chance. We believe in the dignity that work provides and the opportunity it creates. In 2024 we created 717 hours of work for ladies working to get back on their feet. This looks like folding tea towels and wicking candles, and buying a car and gaining a "work family".
One woman who came through our door said: "Regardless of the situation, this was a calming place and a very positive place and it gave me somewhere to go to help others and help myself, too... It feels good to do stuff for other people"
Simply having a reason to get dressed, leave the shelter, and come to work for a few hours makes a big difference for someone in the worst season of their life. It's an honor to create this opportunity and witness the life restored to these ladies over time.
Highland Ridge Decor is a brand under the nonprofit Jubilee Trading Company. This family of brands shares the mission of creating life-transforming work.
