What a year!  I say that every year, but the path that God has us on is an amazing journey full of new surprises, obstacles overcome, and testaments to his grace.  

We have so much to celebrate in reflecting on 2024:  our production (and sales) in Morocco increased 36% over the previous year, with a very positive impact on our community there.  This was a huge feat as our economy continued to slump and sales overall were down.  We are thankful for strategic partners whose orders directly impacted this number.

Our impact hiring in Lawrenceburg, TN grew to a high of 3 women at one point.  This totaled to 717 hours of employment for women in our community transitioning through our local domestic abuse women’s shelter.  It has been beautiful to see the impact that a job opportunity in a positive work environment can make.

By offering warehousing and fulfillment services, we serve other global handmade brands who need stateside support.  We added two additional brands to our warehouse family last year, growing our impact to supporting the work of 322 artisans around the world through our warehouse alone.

The biggest change of all: Jubilee Trading Co acquiring the Kilele Gear brand and workshop in Nairobi, Kenya!  We have supported the work of Kilele Gear for a few years now, so when they met some challenges this year, we stepped in to carry the torch into the next season for that brand.  It’s an honor to inherit the work that had already begun there and to link arms with our 5 Kenyan employees to support them and their community.  We look forward to the exciting things to come in Nairobi!

And that step led to our first fundraising effort as a nonprofit. We asked for the support of our community to help us with the legal fees involved with taking ownership of Kilele Gear, and you showed up.  We needed $7,000 to finish our paperwork, and it was all covered by generous donations.  While every order placed is an encouragement, donations speak on a whole other level.  It is humbling and deeply inspiring to know that so many people are rooting for us and the work that we do.  We could do none of this without you.  Thank you!!

The year had plenty of struggles, a sluggish economy chief among them, but we learned from each hardship and are entering 2025 stronger, wiser, and in awe of God and the work he is doing around us.
